The beaches of Cap d’Agde

It takes you about ten minutes to drive to Cap d’Agde from the campsite. The seaside resort, best known for being a popular holiday destination for families in summer, has 14 km of beaches and is appreciated for its mild Mediterranean climate. The resort has nine beaches in all.

The three fine sandy beaches to the west of the port, in the direction of Grau-du-Roi, also delight many families. These are the Richelieu beach – the largest of them and also the most frequented -, the Rochelongue beach and the Baie de l’Amitié beach. There are many facilities and services, including parking, restaurants, lifeguard posts, changing rooms and showers. It is also possible to walk from one square to the other along a pedestrian path, which is ideal for leisurely strolls.

La Plagette, la Grande Conque, la plage des Falaises, la plage du Môle, la plage de la Roquille and the naturist beach are located to the east of the town’s port. Protected by imposing cliffs of volcanic origin, the Grande Conque is also one of the most popular spots. Several water sports centres are installed on the various beaches of the Hérault resort. Holidaymakers come to rent various equipment for the practice of water sports but also to take lessons. Among the activities popular with holidaymakers are windsurfing, stand-up paddling, sailing, water skiing, jetskiing, sea walks, scuba diving… During sea trips, in particular, people have the chance to appreciate the cliffs of volcanic origin around the resort but also to discover the fort of Brescou, which can furthermore be seen from the town’s port.
